A rubber bushing (also known as an elastomeric bushing) is the most common elastic connecting element in automotive chassis and powertrain systems. It consists of an inner metal sleeve, an outer metal sleeve, and a rubber body (rubber spring) vulcanized between them. It allows limited relative rotation or displacement between adjacent components while absorbing and isolating vibrations through the elastic deformation of the rubber.
